Статья адресована руководителям учреждений образования, советникам по воспитательной работе, руководителям и педагогам детских театральных коллективов. В статье рассматривается вопрос об истории становления школьного театра в мире и в России, о его основных целях и ценностях. Фиксируются основные исторические периоды интереса к школьному театру, называются имена его лидеров и исследователей, обсуждаются основные подходы к развитию школьного театра. Школьный театр рассматривается как образовательный инструмент, пронизывающий все структуры школы: урок, внеурочную деятельность, проектные работы, общешкольные события. Особое внимание уделено пониманию театра как целостной модели мира, в которой одинаково важную роль играют различные аспекты человеческой деятельности и профессии, но главное - умение договариваться между собой во имя общего творческого дела. Именно в этом качестве театр представляется универсальной образовательной моделью. Также рассматривается вопрос об эстетике детского театра, которая определяется законами импровизации и детской игры, самостоятельным ученическим исследованием и творчеством. Этот подход противостоит подражанию взрослому театру и эксплуатации школьного театра в качестве презентационной площадки.

The article is addressed to heads of educational institutions, advisers on educational work, managers and teachers of children's theater groups. The article examines the history of the formation of school theater in the world and in Russia, its main goals and values. The main historical periods of interest in school theater are recorded, the names of its leaders and researchers are named, and the main approaches to the development of school theater are discussed. School theater is considered as an educational tool that permeates all school structures: lessons, extracurricular activities, project work, school-wide events. Particular attention is paid to understanding theater as a holistic model of the world, in which completely different aspects of human activity and profession play an equally important role, but the main thing is the ability to negotiate among themselves in the name of a common creative cause. It is in this capacity that theater appears to be a universal educational model. The issue of the aesthetics of children's theater is also considered, which is determined by the laws of improvisation and children's play, independent student research and creativity. This approach opposes the imitation of adult theater and the exploitation of the school theater as a presentation platform.
