Актуальность темы гостеприимства в сфере культуры обусловлена ее растущей значимостью в современном мире, который характеризуется глобализацией и культурным разнообразием. Реферируемый сборник «Чрезвычайное гостеприимство» (Выкса, 2022) предлагает осмысление этой концепции через призму арт-резиденций, которые становятся важным инструментом для развития культурных институций, межкультурного диалога и преодоления социальных барьеров. В условиях увеличения числа арт-резиденций и их институциализации в России возникает необходимость в их теоретическом осмыслении и разработке практических рекомендаций, что делает данный сборник особенно актуальным. Цель статьи – представить обзор ключевых идей и подходов, изложенных в сборнике, а также показать, как концепция гостеприимства может быть применена для создания более открытых и инклюзивных культурных пространств. Авторы сборника исследуют гостеприимство не только как предоставление физического пространства, но и как создание атмосферы доверия, уважения и взаимопонимания. Особое внимание уделено роли арт-резиденций в трансформации культурных процессов, их взаимодействию с местными сообществами и влиянию на развитие региональных проектов. Основные тезисы включают анализ философских основ гостеприимства (Жак Деррида), рассмотрение арт-резиденций как «активных мест трансформации» и площадок для культурного обмена, а также изучение их роли в деколонизации искусства и формировании site-specific произведений. В сборнике представлены практические рекомендации по организации работы арт-резиденций: от формулирования миссии до создания комфортной среды для художников. The relevance of the topic of hospitality in the cultural sphere is due to its growing importance in the modern world, which is characterized by globalization and cultural diversity. The peer-reviewed collection “Extraordinary Hospitality” (Vyksa, 2022) offers an understanding of this concept through the prism of art residencies, which are becoming an important tool for the development of cultural institutions, intercultural dialogue and overcoming social barriers. With the increasing number of art residencies and their institutionalization in Russia, there is a need for their theoretical understanding and development of practical recommendations, which makes this collection especially relevant. The purpose of the article is to provide an overview of the key ideas and approaches set out in the collection, as well as to show how the concept of hospitality can be applied to create more open and inclusive cultural spaces. The authors of the collection explore hospitality not only as the provision of physical space, but also as the creation of an atmosphere of trust, respect and mutual understanding. Particular attention is paid to the role of art residencies in the transformation of cultural processes, their interaction with local communities and the impact on the development of regional projects. The main theses include an analysis of the philosophical foundations of hospitality (Jacques Derrida), consideration of art residencies as “active places of transformation” and platforms for cultural exchange, as well as a study of their role in the decolonization of art and the formation of site-specific works. The collection presents practical recommendations for organizing the work of art residencies: from formulating a mission to creating a comfortable environment for artists. The importance of involving local communities and taking into account the regional context is also emphasized. The collection is addressed to curators, art managers, critics, researchers of contemporary art and everyone interested in the development of cultural institutions.
